"After falling in love with those evocative Mellotron sounds I heard long ago on early Beatles and Moody Blues albums I had to find out where they were coming from. One thing led to another and I ended up buying a Chamberlin MI from Harry Chamberlin and years later a Mellotron 400 and MKII. After working on improvements for my MI with Harry's son Richard at the Chamberlin factory in southern California, I decided it was time to make my own instrument. That was 15 years ago.
